Valves can be ground to any angle from zero to ninety degrees and even the outside of the valve head can be ground flat and the diameter to an exact size. Stops are inserted at 45 and 90 degrees for quicker adjustment for facing, chamfering and tipping. Remove the 45 degree stop to adjust for other angles.
