In 1990 Tim Whitley of T&S Machines and Tools developed the TS-500 ball-drive dead-pilot three angle tooling system. The tooling was initially designed to give new life to some tired old seat and guide machines. T&S has been blessed with success with this tooling and it is now recognized as the standard accessory on most seat and guide machines.

Because of the versatility in design and affordability, there are few shops which have not at least tried it. In 1994, as a result of the success of the TS-500 tooling, T&S took the next logical step and developed THE SYSTEM 2000TM Cylinder Head Center to maximize the performance of the TS-500 tooling. With this machine T&S found a way to satisfy shops specializing in general automotive, high performance, over-the-road diesel and even motorcycle cylinder head repair. No other machine in the industry can hold the consistent tolerance demanded over the wide variety of shops in the United States.

Just after beginning production of the TS-2000, T&S began research and development on another product, THE SYSTEM-5000TM High Speed Milling Machine. This 5,500 lb machine was designed to be the ultimate machine for both automotive and diesel machines shops featuring a rapid setup cradle for cylinder heads. T&S sold many of these machines between 1998 and 2001 when the TS-3000 High speed mill was designed and rapidly displaced the TS-5000 in the automotive performance shops. The TS-3000 is more affordable and for the automotive shop answered all of their needs. Today T&S offers four surfacers starting with the heads only TS-3000 HM, the automotive performance specific TS-3000 BlockMate, and the longer diesel cylinder head model TS-3000 XL and the diesel model TS-5000. These trouble free machines have changed the nature of surfacing for many shops in the US and Canada. T&S also markets the 3K cradle separately to make competitive machines more versatile and user friendly.

In 2005 we began the development of the TS-600 ValveMate grinding center. This machine is unique in design and has features that no other valve refacer has ever had.

T&S also offers the simplest and most versatile and most precise PC based balancing center in the market. The PC-500 interfaces a Windows based personal computer with the sensors to give the operator the most useful information and reports of any balancing machine. T&S also offers the best accessories for balancing the engine components.
