Frequently Asked Questions
BlockMaster CNC
The TS1000 BlockMaster handles virtually any automotive or light industrial engine block, including V8, V6, inline-4, and inline-6 configurations. It bores, surfaces, cuts lifter bores, and notches pan rails. The conversational software makes setting up a new block straightforward, regardless of make or configuration.
No. The BlockMaster uses conversational programming, not G-code. You answer prompts on the touchscreen and the machine handles the rest. Most operators are comfortable running it within a few days of training. T&S provides training at our Gainesville, TX facility with every purchase.
Setup time is approximately 30 minutes for a complete block change. Once the block is fixtured, the machine runs all operations in a single setup. That eliminates the time spent moving blocks between dedicated machines for boring, surfacing, and lifter bore work.
The BlockMaster comes with a standard tooling package. Additional tooling options are available depending on the types of blocks and operations your shop handles most. Contact us for a quote that includes tooling tailored to your work.
